1A legitimate listed operator with an unusually heavy name-collision problem around it, and untangling that is most of the work here.
2Several copycat domains trading on the Cipher Mining name have been identified as unrelated to the real company, and a regulator watchlist alert that surfaces in our own data carries its own warning that it may be one of those impersonators rather than this business.
3Given how much of that noise surrounds the name, treating that alert as a direct hit would be a mistake.
4No credible fraud signal actually attaches to the real company.
5Also worth knowing about fit: Cipher has been pivoting toward HPC data centres and is not a third-party hosting provider, so check the offering matches what you want.
